I started appearing in photos through my personal practice in rope bondage. Often the intention would be the subject of a photograph for a person I was tying regularly with. These photos were precious to me because they represented what I felt at the time they were taken as well as the relationship I had at the time with those involved in making the photo. This art of capturing expression has always been of interest for me from the perspective of the viewer, and offer the years I grew more and more interested in being the subject, going beyond the context of rope bondage.
I see a photoshoot as a piece of performance art. A dialogue between the photographer and myself, as well as the audience or any others involved in the process of the creation of the scene and the photograph. I express, react, and go into a story we create together and the medium of photography is used to capture this reality through the eyes of the photographer. I say something, and the photographer tells me what I said through their image. The photographer, environment, audience, etc. influences me, and I react, and this reaction is captured and interpreted by the photographer. This process is interesting to me and I would like to find people I can go deep into this process with. I want to tell stories, and portray a reality we create together.
